CASCADE

CASCADE is a stylish first-person roguelite with a focus on blazingly fast movement. Slide from surface to surface, unlock and upgrade abilities and face otherworldly enemies and bosses, all while exploring a corrupted digital space.

But don't forget: Always keep on moving!


I am developing this project together with Joachim Merchie using the Godot Engine and featuring music by Alberto Mancini.

Some examples of my contributions for CASCADE:

  • Fullscreen shadfer that adaptively subdivides the viewport into tiles, which then get filled via an atlas lookup
  • Character and enemy designs
  • First-person arms and animations
  • Modular ability system that both the player and enemies use
  • Reactive upgrade selection UI
  • Settings and save system
  • Tools to procedurally generate geometry
  • Custom scene manager
